Dressage Training.
Wexford Equestrian Center has state of the art facilities where both dressage competitions and dressage training can be enjoyed.
Our arena surfaces provide top class footing to ensure enhanced performance and soundness in the dressage horse. The Indoor Arena at Wexford Equestrian provides the ideal all-weather dressage environment whether for competition or for training purposes. There is a sound system, well considered lighting, wash bays, warm up areas, local instructors on call and Meadows Cafe to refresh the hard working dressage rider!
Throughout the year we hold many dressage competitions and masterclasses. We source top class trainers and judges to provide top of the range advise and feedback to those keen to improve their dressage scores and become truly competitive. Our Young Horse classes are always extremely popular and offer the ideal opportunity to give a green youngster the experience required.
Wexford Equestrian Center played host to Anne-Marie Dunphy of Dressage Ireland staging a wonderful master class in which the very best riders and horses from Ireland’s dressage world showcased their talents. It was noted that the facility provided a much needed, dedicated environment in which to produce dressage horses from early training right through to competitions on site.
Our non-affiliated leagues are always well attended showing the growth of the sport amongst pleasure riders and those wishing to school an inexperienced horse without the pressure of mainstream competion.

Producing a horse which will go on and perform a quality dressage test requires the correct environment in which to train.
Wexford Equestrian Center boasts top of the range facilities in which to school and train dressage horses and ponies. Our carefully sourced arena surfaces provide the ideal footing on which to work ensuring balance, soundness and enhanced performance.
Open year round, the dressage rider can school outdoors in any of our fantastic arenas or indoors when the weather dictates. Our arena size allows groups/lessons to work comfortably and efficiently without compromising individual work. Either a 60 x 20 meter or a 40 x 20 meter dressage arena can be laid within the indoor arena leaving additional room for spectators or warm up.
The indoor arena also has a well equipped sound system allowing the rider to school to their own freestyle music or even just the radio! Carefully considered lighting ensures a quality feel throughout the year no matter the time of day nor the weather outside.
A cosy lounge area with all leather sofas, TV and Wi-Fi offers riders the chance to relax and enjoy a coffee after their ride and perhaps chat over their session with a trainer. Wash bays are available close to the horse box parking to wash off the hot dressage horse after training.
